Launch of the Three Villages Neighbourhood Plan: 21 January 2016

About 90 residents from across all 3 villages came to this event held in the Uffington Village Hall on Thursday 21 January. Our local county and district councillors were also present. Members of the WI were on hand to offer cake with coffee/tea or a glass of wine.

Rob outlines the plan for the Plan

Rob Hart explained the steps being followed in formulating the Neighbourhood Plan on behalf of the villages and the processes to be completed before it could be formally adopted – towards the end of 2017.

Jeremy Flawn, consultant to the Steering Panel, outlined some of the necessary information gathering and appraisal processes required to give the Plan an objective base founded on sound evidence.

Rob urged members of the audience to consider carefully the draft Vision and Objectives and record whether or not they supported them. This feedback is essential in order to start with an agreed focus for the Plan.

Most of the questions were about the number of new houses which might be required to be built in the next 15 years.     Councillor Yvonne Constance explained the likely numbers from a county perspective.
